Six accounts from clients, each covering a different situation and service. Dates are within the last few months.
Siriwan R.
Bangkok · Consultation client
I was not sure whether my situation warranted legal advice — or even what kind of advice was relevant. The first meeting gave me a clear picture of where I stood in about ninety minutes. The written note they gave me at the end was something I could actually read again at home, not a list of legal terms. I appreciated that there was no pressure to take any further steps.

Phaya Thai · Protective order client
The protective order process is not straightforward in Thailand, particularly as a foreign resident. Phak Pheun Counsel handled the paperwork and coordinated with the authority without requiring me to manage the process myself. The written updates at each stage were helpful. The timeline was longer than I expected, though I understand this reflects the court schedule rather than anything the practice could control.

Nattaya T.
Chatuchak · Family plan client
After my divorce was finalised, I needed a written framework for the financial and child-related arrangements going forward. The long-term plan they drafted was detailed without being overwhelming. The conversations before it was written were patient — they asked questions I had not thought to answer and the plan reflected that. Knowing there is an annual review scheduled makes it feel like a working arrangement rather than a fixed document.

Ananya L.
Dusit · Consultation client
I came in with a situation I had been trying to resolve informally for about a year without success. Within one session, I had a clearer sense of what the law actually said about my position and what steps were realistically open to me. The written note was well-organised. I left feeling better informed rather than more anxious, which is what I had been afraid of going into a legal conversation.

Phaya Thai · Family plan client
The process of getting the long-term plan drafted took longer than I had expected — about three sessions over six weeks before the document was finalised. But I think that time was necessary for the plan to reflect the actual complexity of what we were dealing with. The result was something both parties could look at and understand. The annual review appointment has already been useful once.

Pimchanok W.
Bangkok · Protective order client
Confidentiality was my main concern before I made contact. I had been hesitant to speak to anyone about my situation. The practice was clear from the first email that what I shared would be kept private, and throughout the process that was consistent. The written updates meant I never had to chase anyone for information. This mattered more than I can fully explain in a short review.

Understanding a position before deciding whether to act
The situation
A client in a long-term relationship wanted to understand their legal position before deciding whether to take any formal step. They had been managing an informal arrangement for two years and were uncertain whether it had any legal standing.
What we did
A Domestic Relations Consultation was arranged within four days of the initial enquiry. The session lasted approximately two hours. A written note was prepared covering the client's position under Thai law and the options available.
The outcome
The client left with a written summary and chose not to proceed to a formal service at that time. They contacted us again six months later when circumstances changed, and the written note from the first session served as a useful starting point.
"Having something in writing meant I could share it with a trusted person in my family without having to explain everything from scratch."

A protective order in a situation that had become unsafe at home
The situation
A client had experienced a period of domestic difficulty and wanted to put a written protective arrangement in place before deciding on longer-term steps. They were uncertain about the process and concerned about involving the relevant authority.
What we did
The Protective Order Preparation service was engaged. A careful written account of circumstances was prepared, the appropriate application was drafted, and we coordinated with the authority through the review. Written progress notes were provided at each stage.
The outcome
The protective order was put in place within the statutory period. The client was kept informed at every step without having to chase for updates. The client subsequently used the Domestic Relations Consultation to understand their broader options.
"I did not need to understand every part of the legal process myself. What I needed was someone to manage it carefully and keep me informed. That is what happened."

A long-term plan covering financial and child arrangements after a separation
The situation
A client with two children had separated and needed a clear written framework covering financial arrangements and child access. The situation involved cross-national elements, as one parent was a foreign national resident in Thailand.
What we did
Three structured sessions identified the client's priorities. A comprehensive plan covering financial division, child access schedules, and education arrangements was drafted in both Thai and English. An annual review schedule was established.
The outcome
The plan was finalised over approximately six weeks. Both parties could work from the same document. The annual review the following year resulted in a minor adjustment to the child access schedule. The bilingual format meant the non-Thai-speaking parent could read it directly.
"The plan is something we both understand. I had expected legal documents to be written for lawyers to read, not for parents."
